At Jaguar Infotech we firmly believe that mobile computing is the next biggest revolution. So we are focusing lots of energy and making huge investments in Mobile space. We appreciate and understand that some of the major challenges in mobile domain is the diversity at all levels i.e. diverse hardware, operating systems and wireless service providers. Hence writing a software application that works well in this heterogeneous space is really challenging. This is besides the fact that mobile is a resource constraint device.

We have a few product ideas in this area that we are currently pursuing and developing in our Mobile competency centre. We are working on following leading edge technologies in mobile space

  • Supporting Ajax technology on mobile.
  • Media Streaming on mobile platform
  • Mobile Bluetooth technology

We are working both in J2ME and C++ development (primarily on Symbian OS)

Mobile Messaging via GPRS (Demo)

This is a demo of the software that we developed to demonstrate our capability using J2ME. This software has client as well as server component. The client installable runs on any mobile device that supports MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.1. This application allows two mobile users to communicate with each other. One requirement is that the users should have GPRS service activated as the messages are sent via internet connections hence users do not incur the cost of sending SMS. This demo is an exe file that contains the video of Java simulator communicating with each other.
